Brother Beck

(Leaflet)

Generally speaking, most people believe that they have to learn to understand God.
This, however, is not true. There is nothing you have to study, for your faith is what is important, not the knowledge you obtain.
God has nothing to do with any religion. He is the Creator and the ruler of all things.
There are no coincidences or accidents in the lives of men.

God cares about and loves each one of us.
How can we appreciate this love of God?
We can do so only by remembering the death of Jesus Christ, who sacrificed himself for us.

********

Jesus Christ is the eternal God. There was no beginning for him, and there will be no end for him.
Once, He was blessed with human form by a miracle of God.
Only in those thirty-three years when He lived as human was there a beginning and an end.
The life of Mr. ____ in this world as a human has been much longer than that of Jesus Christ.
The death of Jesus Christ was a punishment for our selfish arrogance which should have been delivered unto man.

God requests only one thing of men.
It is not to pay money or to be an esteemed person.
It is simply to be honest. To be honest, you only need to humbly bow your head to God.

********

You must pray, 'I am so sorry, please forgive me'.
You have probably felt sorry many times in your life. And many people, after feeling guilt or remorse, try to cover it up by their own efforts.
But this is not right.

God tells you to hoist the white flag and surrender.
Once you pray, 'I am sorry for being so arrogant,' you can appreciate Godfs forgiveness right away.
It is not because you understood it; it is because God has promised it to you.

********

All people lie. However, God will never lie.
The promise God has made to us is to forgive everyone who says 'I am sorry. Please forgive me'.
You will be able to die a peaceful death if you realize that all of your selfish arrogance can be forgiven by God.
Those who have realized that their true citizenship lies in heaven are so blessed.
Those who feel remorse and sincerely express it with bowed heads will go to heaven after they die; this is Godfs promise.

********

So, Mr. ____ can pray in this way:
"Holy Jesus, I am a sinner. I have committed many sins.
Please forgive my selfish arrogance.
Thank you for dying on the cross and sacrificing your life for me.
There are so many things I cannot understand,
but I do believe in your salvation. I entrust myself to you now.
Please lead all people to you so that they can find the strength to live.
In the name of our Lord Jesus, I pray. Amen"

********

The most important things in this world are found not in the thoughts or emotion of men. They are in what God promises us.
Very often, when people get sick or are in agonizing pain, they easily forget the promise of God.
The foundation of our faith should only be the words from the bible.

Jesus will never fail to keep his promises. He will never abandon you.
One of the most important promises of Jesus is that he will forgive our iniquity and remember our sins no more.

********

Jesus will never remember the sins he has forgiven-he will forget them forever.
He does this so you can embrace your death without worrying about what you have done in the past.
To die is to finally be one with Jesus.

The lives that we are living today may not be so pleasant.
The bible states that everything actually begins after the death.
Death is not the end. Jesusf promise to us is that whoever believes in Him will live even after death.

********

3,000 years ago, King David said;
'Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me.'
Today, Mr. ____ is allowed to make the same confession as King David.
He is not alone anymore, because Jesus is always with him.

[prayer]

Holy Jesus,
Thank you for being punished and sacrificing your life for my selfish arrogance.
Thank you Lord, because you forgave us and let all our sins be forgotten by the precious blood you shed.
Thank you Lord, for keeping us free from judgment after we die, just because we believe in you.
Thank you Lord, for promising your believers life after death. Death is not the end. It is the beginning of eternity with you.
Thank you Lord, that my citizenship is in heaven.
I entrust everything to your hands.
In the name of Jesus, I pray.
Amen.

[note]

This is part of a conversion between Mr. Beck and an elderly gentleman at the bible camp in Hiroshima a few years ago.
He was almost 100 years old at the time. He could not hear well, so Mr. Beck had to communicate by writing his words in big letters on a piece of paper.
The man nodded in acknowledgment each time he read the words on the paper. He had been seeking a way to salvation ever since he was young, but was never really sure if he had been saved or not.
However, after his conversation with Mr. Beck, he was certainly convinced that he was saved. He looked absolutely delighted as he headed home.
