To trust is to realize that the Lord does the best for you and his guidance is always flawless, even though you cannot understand anything. At the beginning of a day... If you start a new day by fearing the Lord, you won't have to be controlled by the fear of other people. If you pray for the difficulties in your life or the suffering of other people around you, you will be free from all fear and anxiety, and you will thus be able to stand before these ordeals. Subject yourself to the forgiveness of Jesus today. If you can, you won't be disappointed by your own faults or others’. If you understand that all problems in your daily life come from the Lord and learn from them, you will be able to make calm judgments and accept all consequences peacefully. If you accept your abilities as gifts from the Lord, your inferiority complex will disappear as time goes on. If you can entrust your neighbors to the hands of the Lord, you will understand what they truly need. If you, after all, entrust your whole life to the hands of the Lord, every day of your life will shine, reflecting the brightness of the Lord. |

Please prevent me from committing sins, so that I won't cause you grief. Please let me have ears to listen always to what the Holy Spirits say. I want to walk with you no matter what happens; I can't move forward otherwise. Today is the day that you shall be increased and I shall be decreased. Only your name shall be glorified, not mine. I am scared of depending on my own knowledge and I fear that I may do so. May this world that my eyes can see become a meaningless place to me. Prayers − Communion with Jesus Firstly, choose a time of a day when you wish to be alone with the Lord without interruption. Daily communion with Jesus should be a priority in our lives, and it is nothing but our duty to make such time. Then, pick out some short verses from the Bible and read them aloud before beginning the prayer. This will help you to perceive the presence of the Lord. The Lord will talk to you through these words. The words of the Lord will urge you to pray. Then, tell the Lord everything that has occurred to you on that day, your burdens, your feelings, your wishes and worries. Don't hide anything−tell everything to the Lord. Have a clear sense that you entrust all things to the Lord. Under all circumstances, avoid praying ritualistic prayers. Make it a custom of yours to tell everything to the Lord. Call out to the Lord and seek Him in your kitchen, on the train, on your bicycle, and everywhere you go. |

[2] Each attendee should pray and entrust his or her own burden to the Lord. [3] Prayers should be the focus of the meetings, not conversation between attendees. [4] Do not disrupt the Lord while He is offering a helping hand to other attendees. [5] Avoid seeking the attention of others or consoling each other. [6] Instead, each attendee should ask directly for the help of the Lord and not take any advice from others. [7] Begin by singing a hymn followed by a prayer in a circle to bring all hearts together. [8] Reading the Bible in turn is very helpful. |

How to Ascertain the Will of God 1. I seek at the beginning to get my heart into such a state that it has no will of its own in regard to a given matter. Nine-tenths of the trouble with people generally is just here. Nine-tenths of the difficulties are overcome when our hearts are ready to do the Lord's will, whatever it may be. When one is truly in this state, it is usually but a little way to the knowledge of what His will is. 2. Having done this, I do not leave the result to feeling or simple impression. If so, I make myself liable to great delusions. 3. I seek the Will of the Spirit of God through, or in connection with, the Word of God. The Spirit and the Word must be combined. If I look to the Spirit alone without the Word, I lay myself open to great delusions also. If the Holy Ghost guides us at all, He will do it according to the Scriptures and never contrary to them. 4. Next I take into account providential circumstances. These often plainly indicate God's Will in connection with His Word and Spirit. 5. I ask God in prayer to reveal His Will to me aright. 6. Thus, through prayer to God, the study of the Word, and reflection, I come to a deliberate judgment according to the best of my ability and knowledge, and if my mind is thus at peace, and continues so after two or three more petitions, I proceed accordingly. This Thing is From Me Have you ever thought that all that concerns you, concerns Me too? For "he that toucheth you, toucheth the apple of Mine eye" (Zechariah 2:8). I would have you learn when temptations assail you, and the "enemy comes in like a flood," that this thing is from Me, that your weakness needs My might, and your safety lies in letting Me fight for you. Are you in difficult circumstances? This thing is from Me. I am the God of circumstances. Your surroundings and companions are only working out My will. Are you in money difficulties? Is it hard to make both ends meet? This thing is from Me, for I am your purse bearer, and I would have you draw from and depend upon Me. My supplies are limitless (see Philippians 4: 19). I would have you prove My promises. Are you passing through a night of sorrow? This thing is from Me. I am "The Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief." I have let earthly comforters fail you so that by turning to Me you may obtain everlasting consolation (see II Thessalonians 2:16, 17). Has some friend disappointed you? One to whom you opened your heart? This thing is from Me. I have allowed this disappointment to come so that you may learn that I am your best friend. Have your plans been all upset? Are you bowed down and weary? This thing is from Me. You made your plans, then came asking Me to bless them, but I would have you let Me plan for you and then I take the responsibility, for "this thing is too heavy for thee; thou art not able to perform it thyself alone" (Exodus 18:18). You are only an instrument. Have you longed to do some great work for Me, and instead been laid aside on a bed of pain and weakness? This thing is from Me. I could not get your attention in your busy days, and I want to teach you some of My deepest lessons. "They also serve who only stand and wait." Some of My greatest workers are those shut out from active service, that they may learn to wield the weapon of all-prayer. Are you suddenly called to occupy a difficult and responsible position? Launch out on Me. I am trusting you with the "possession of difficulties," and for "this thing the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto" (Deuteronomy 15:10). This day I place in your hand this pot of holy oil; make use of it freely, My child. Remember, "interruptions are divine instructions." The sting will go as you learn to see Me in all things; therefore, "set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day ... for it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life: and through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the land" (Deuteronomy 32:46, 47). |
